Friday: arrival
Saturday: Cultural exchange programmes (music, dance, any performance, gastronomy, market)
Sunday: Tourist program around Palkonya or in the region.

YOUTH CAMP IN PALKONYA 2007.July 15-22
Dear Friends, Youth, Dear Collages,
Unfortunately the EU youth program is not able to finance our program this summer, but maybe later, in the end of the year we will have the contract, but I don’t believe it anymore.
In this new situation the peoples of the working group of CVE Palkonya decided to make the youth camp without money. You have to know the Council of Palkonya is unable to sponsor our activity as well, because they have the same problem with the money of the Hungarian Government wich is just artificially sponsoring the cultural activities, but the real money not arrived yet. So the artists, friends of us, and some of locals peoples will donate the program of yours.
We are providing free services to you:
Food in the garden kitchen of the Village Hall, 3-4 times / day + mineral water and some wine.
Accommodations at the Village Hall ceramics floor, in the exhibition room (girls) and in the library (boys). All of you will sleep in the same place. ( photos are here>>>)
2 toilets
2 nomad douche place in the garden, plain air, like in camping’s, more cold water, some hot water.
Fire place for evening programs in the garden of the Village Hall.
Some musical party’s, cultural improvisations.
1-2 excursion days to Pécs, to Villány, or depending on group decision.
5 different art activities in work shops.
Nice weather 30-32 Celsius, may some sort rain, and happy faces.
Activities in parallel work shops:
Ceramic pottery and sculptor work shop with Judit Major in her studio.
Mud sculptor work in the same garden of the studio with Zsolt Tanács designer artist.
Building your own “camera obscura” and learning about photography in the dark room of the Youth Centre with Tamás Opitz photographer.
Forestsculpturing, making Land Art in the forest of Palkonya peoples, Erika Gulyás artist. Using only dead bits and pieces of the forest trees. (Unfortunately we can not make organic building because the material cost a lot.)
Felt making with Adél Orosz artist in my summer kitchen of my house, Wednesday and Thursday. -Felt is made out of wool with sop and lot of hand works-)
You have to bring:
Small example of your local heritage. (it can be music, food, story or something special)
Working clothes, apron for ceramic work shop, glows for the forest
Summer hat, spray or crème against mosquitos, sun crème.
You try to eat Poly-B vitamins every day (mixed B vitamins= B 1, B6, B12) one week before coming here, against leech. This is not obligatory.
Sleeping bags and mattress for hard floor. (with air?)
Slippers and towel, swimming suites.
Warmer clothes for evening programs. Think that: we will be outside most of time!
Passport
Cash (pocket money) in Hungarian Forint for soft drinks and ice cream and for other wish, like entrance ticket for Museums. ( Ca: 5000- 10.000 HUF= 20-40 Euro)
Draft plan of the camp:
Sunday Arrival, dinner
Monday Discussion, introduction of the work shops place, walk in the village, maybe the ceramic and forest work shop start to work in the afternoon.
Tuesday-Thursday 5 different work shops with artist in the morning and afternoon, lunch brake with siesta, evening programs with cultural activities and lot of music, around the fire place.
Friday- Saturday Excursions or continuing working activities, depending on group decision ( Pécs, Villány)
Sunday Departure

This the garden of the Village Hall. Here will be the tent where young people will eat, also here will be the open air shower, and the fire place. Nice view to the lake and winehills.
